Here are some things I put together for Cort for when he meets his baby sister, Also these are some items I hope will keep Cort happy and busy in the first few weeks after baby girl comes home!
1. Puzzle.
-I thought this would be a good thing for Cort to play with and try to put together with me while baby is sleeping, I really want to make sure I do a lot of 1 on 1 time with him when I can!
2. Big brother book.
-A fun book talking about some of the fun things he can do now that he's a big brother!
3. Lift the flap Bible.
-I thought this would be a good book for me to read/look at with Cort while I nurse and sit with baby girl.
4. Yummy snack.
-Let's face it, when you have a toddler snacks are always a good idea! ;)
5. Coloring book and markers.
-Another thing to keep Cort busy when I'm busy with baby, also these are mess free and that's a great thing when you have a toddler.
6. Remote control dump Truck.
-I thought a fun new toy would be great for Cort to play with, he saw it in my closet and has be asking for it every day since, so I had to find a better hiding spot for it.
I know that as much as I plan and try to help Cort get ready for baby girl before she comes, it's still going to be a huge change for ALL of us, so we'll just be taking it one day at a time.
I'm Praying for grace, and a whole lotta patience in this new season of life we are going to be entering in before to long. Right now Corts alittle to young to understand much about the baby, or he's just not interested. But I know he'll be very curious about baby girl when she's here, hopefully she doesn't get patted to hard or poked in the eye to much ;)
