Baby Led Weaning

{day nine}

Here is my BLW experience so far :)

For those of you who don't know what Baby Led Weaning is,
  1. "Baby-led weaning allows babies to control their solid food consumption by "self-feeding" from the very beginning of their experiences with food. The term weaning should not be taken to imply giving up formula or breastmilk, but simply the introduction of foods other than formula or breastmilk."
So basically what it is, is having your baby feed themselves VS spoon feeding them purees,
I had heard about this method from a video on YouTube, [HERE]

I started researching it and decided that it seamed like something that would work well for our family, At first I was alittle nervous, I was worried about him choking, making a huge mess and Me not doing it right, So I did more reading and read these two books Baby Led Weaning IntroductionBaby Led Weaning Cookbook and that made feel more comfortable.
When he turned 6 months we started, 
His first food was Pancakes with butter on them.

Spaghetti

Lasagna and Garlic bread


Eggs & Waffles

Bath Time!
All Clean!

We have really enjoyed watching Cort learn to eat and exploring food.
He gets better & better everyday at picking up and actually eating the food!
This had worked GREAT for our family, But I'm sure it's not for everyone, There is a bit of a mess involved, But I wouldn't change it for anything!
